I am trying to connect a PDW-U1 drive to Vista 64 in order to use the 50mb footage in Premiere CS4.
However, the utility software won’t load. Is this because Sony has not written the driver yet for Vista64?
I can use it with FCP but not with Premiere/Vista64.
    Help?

Hi ken. Won’t work as there are no 64 bit windows drivers. I can however connect my 64 bit machine and read / copy disks with the proxy browsing software if I link my pdw700 via Ethernet.

Thanks for the reply. Because we don’t have a 700(we are a post house) I am going to transfer the clips in an XP(32) machine with the PDW and then over the network to the 64 machine.
Clunky, but it should work. Or do this current project in one of our FCP suites. I didn’t want to do this because the Matrox/PPro/64 machine is much more powerful than the FCP suite.
