  XDCam Transfer – selective importing

  I’m trying to import some footage into FCP. I’ve copied the entire card onto my desktop. The folder has 129 clips. When I add the folder into XDCam Transfer, it only reads 108. I have no problems getting those 108 clips into FCP.

  But why can’t XDCam see these other clips? To make things more mysterious, XDCam Clips Browser sees and plays the clips just fine.

  Any ideas/advice?

  Jed – have you tried going USB out of the EX1 and transferring the SxS media that way? Did you have a second SxS card in Slot B? It kinda sounds like you may have some “child clips” where the whole clip didn’t fit on the single SxS card. Anyway, try hooking up the EX1 via USB and opening XDCAM Transfer and mount the EX1 (the EX1 will ask if you want to connect USB) and then the cards will mount in SDCAM File Transfer.

  You can see the “Child clips” on the single SxS card, but without the second card that they are split on, you can’t get them.
