Hi Craig, I haven’t converted the mp4 files with ffmpegx yet, because I have to film another project this week.(with the ex1 again) But regarding the mp4 file topic, you said sony was going to release an update that generates new BPAV folders with metadata so that the transfer software should recognise the ‘orphaned’ mp4 files.
Did they let you know when it approximately is coming out? Because My deadline is the 10th of june. So I want to know if it’s worth the wait.

When I called up Sony Pro to report the but they told me they’d only just discovered the bug the week before (guess they never thought of actually TESTING to see if the ClipBrowser could handle MP4 sources). I tried to pin them to at least an approximate date but, like any good software developer, they wouldn’t commit. Given they’ve announced ClipBrowser 2 I would guess their intent is to get it out significantly before then. Unfortunately that’s not very accurate.
