  Frame by frame animation in AE

  In advance I’m sorry for my English, but I need help.

  Macromedia Flash is very useful device for creating of animation, but in AE we have many effects and prety “puppet tools”. But AE have some troubles with frame by frame animation (I don’t know how it calls exatly, google translate tell me “time-lapse animation”, but I’m not sure). I can’t do that like in Flash, I can’t change image of layer in enother frame. But this is really important in 2D-animation and lipsync. How can I effectively do that frame by frame animation in AE?

  you might take a look at dan ebbert’s triggering animations with markers tutorial.

  he animates facial expressions, but this same method could be used for mouth shapes for glyphs.
