    Hello all

I am finding it difficult to follow the online manual for applying match grain effect. I didn’t find any good resource in web also regarding this.

Can anyone elaborate how to get grains from a video into another video using this effect?

Make sure the footage you are trying to match the grain from is not in a highly compressed format. If it is, convert to an uncompressed before trying to match the grain.
Apply the effect on the layer you are matching the grain to, select the layer you are matching grain from in the effect panel, then play with the parameters and see what looks right. It should not be a complicated process, just takes a little experimenting.

    Thanks Tudor.
If I want to sample noise from a particular region of the frame (suppose, i need the noise from a dark region), what should I do? Masking and precomping is the only solution ?
