Libec zoom handle
Posted by Dan Gunn on February 12, 2008 at 2:38 pmI have three Libec zoom handles that I used with Canon lenses. I really like them and want to use them with the EX-1. Does anyone know if Libec offers or is going to offer an adapter? BTW, how the hell can you contact Libec?!

February 13, 2008 at 3:06 amWell I stopped by and met the Libec folks in Torrance California today and picked up the EX1 zoom control. They started the day with 100 and for some reason they only had 7 left around 4pm EST today. They use an adapter for converting the 8 pin Sony connection to what is a standard 8 pin connector, the sensitivity rocker for the zoom seems to allow extremely slow starts and is easy to get use to. There is a record button that can also be witched for the last clip review. $299 for the controller and I purchased 2 8′ extensions cables for jib use, however there is no lock down nut provided. I still have the VariZoom ordered and I should have it soon.
Good Luck
