http://www.synchrotech.com has developed a card reader that might work with the s & s cards. i have not purchased my camera yet so i can’t test it. I spoke with Roberto at Synchrotech and he said the reader should work with the s & s cards. He said that anyone that wanted to test it would get their money back if it did’nt work. I am using velocity hd which does not support the ex1 at this time, and amwaiting for ver 10 to buy the ex1. here is their part number if anyone wants to test the card reader.
EXP54-CR-PCEIF1 PCI Express to ExpressCard 34|54 Drive Read-Writer Front
if anyone test it please post the results. the price is cheep. $ 138.00.
    thanks gary coler

This seems to be the direct link
    PCI Express to ExpressCard 34/54

I don’t think MacPros have the USB internal header so you’d have to hook up to external USB.
It would seem to take up the 2nd optical bay . . . which I may want to use for a Blu-ray burner.

They really should test it themselves and also consider making an external version.
