  EX1 – Green flash

  Hello there,

  When I hit “Expanded Focus” on my brand new EX1, it does some green flashes for half a second or so. It especially does this in 25p and 30p modes. Do you all have the same, or is it just me?

  In other modes there is a very short flash, not too noticeable.
  It also does it when switching modes (720/1080 i/p …), but there it doesn’t bother me.

  Just thought it looked a little weird. I have never seen it on a Z1 before…

  Same thing happens with mine as well. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Using expanded focus during recording has no effect on recorded material. either. The flashes during a recording format change is probably a normal thing with this camera. You’ll notice that a similar thing also happens when you power up the camera.
