i want to create the effect of light shining through from behind text. I want the light to run from one side of the text to the other, sort of like the movement of light from a light house.

i have tried positioning a spotlight behind the text layer (with alpha), but the light will not shine through?

    help?

Trapcode Shine will work for this. If you don’t have this plugin…. You need to get it.

…or try CC Lightburst. It’s a Cyclore plugin that comes with version 6.5.

    HI ALEXUS,,,

Whatever you read in the previous posts. FORGET ALL WHAT THEY SAID. Do you know 3ds MAX ?. If you do reply me. And ill tell you how to do it in 5 minutes flat in a much easier way. Even if you dont know max you dont need training for this. I can teach you step by step how to do it. If you can open max and click a few buttons.
