  Data Merge – Comma error

  Data Merge works perfect in Indesign, but there is a little issue
  when using commas in the Excel list.

  My Column in Excel looks like this:

  Guest
  Jim
  Kim, James and Oliver

  Problem: When merging the .csv, “James and Oliver” is not included.
  Does anyone know how to make the comma separation go all the way to Indesign?

  I believe that if you enclose the field in quotes, you should be ok:

  field1_value,field2_value,”Kim, James and Oliver”,field4, etc.
