  Printer Rip crashes

  Hello,
  I create directories in InDesign CS5. When the printer rips the output pdf file for a 28” x 40” Heidelberg 102S – 6 Color printing press there are sometimes problems with transparencies and fonts. Sometimes the some of the background drops out of the image if I am using a file with transparency. Another issue is that the text becomes jumbled together and the spacing is off. It does not happen all the time but does happen on files that worked one time and another not. I cannot change the fonts to outlines because I loose the effects or it is Auto page numbering.
  Any suggestions on what might be causing this and/or a solution to these problems?
