  • Arrow key (up & down) applies a colour fill to selected objects

Posted by Nick Meadows on March 30, 2012 at 3:54 am

    Hi,

When i nudge a selected object with the up and down arrow key, InDesign is automatically applying a colour fill on the second or third click. The colour pallet is also appearing and disappearing with each click.

This is so very frustrating – can anybody please advise me how to fix this. I am using CS5

    Cheers,

    Nick

Did you find a solution to this? It’s driving me crazy and very disruptive to my work.It never used to happen so I must be able to turn it off.

I know right! Infuriating. It ended up being some weird/wrong configuration in the keyboard itself. The arrows were set to be one of the ‘F’ keys at the top. Try switching keyboards then test.
