    Hello everyone,

I have a complete inDesign document, that is now supposed to be transformed for using it on a website. For that I need to export the document as an XML file.

I’m quite familiar with the structuring and tagging in inDesign, but the web-programmer needs the document structured in different levels like “Root > Chapter > Subchapter > Text passage / table”.
I already structured the document with tags like “title”, “text passage”, “table”… but the structure is just linear, putting one element next to another.
How can I structure the document with reoccurring tags that enable me to identify the exact position of an item in the document’s structure? So that I can say for example “text passage X” is located in chapter 4, subchapter 1. Like this certain passages could be updated later on by it’s “position” in the level of the structure.

I hope my problem becomes clear! I’d be very thankful for any help!
    Yours, Dick
