  Indesign placeholder text

  Hi,
  I’m new to the forums, but hopefully someone can help me.

  Is it possible to only highlight certain text in a text box to convert to placeholder text?
  At the moment, even though I only highlight certain text within a text box, indesign fills the whole box with placeholder text.

  I initially thought you must be doing something wrong, but you are certainly correct! What a bummer. My only suggestion would be to have a text box on in the pasteboard area filled with placeholder text and then copy and paste what you need of it in each instance. Definitely not ideal. Add that to the wishlist:
