  Unintended automatic text frame columnation

  Everytime i paste some text on page or make a text frame, it automatically appears in 4 columns form. Its annoying, since i regularly have to open Text frame options and manually change it to desired number of columns.

  I’ve never seen this before. Some have complained that when pasting the text it becomes in image (png) instead of editable text. The solution there was to create the text box first, place your I beam in the box and then paste.
  Though this doesn’t solve the problem of why it is doing this, it may be a work-around until you get more time to play with it.

  Some texts (in my case copied in Word) were set in raster when pasted directly to artboard. In my case, pasted text or new text box were 4 columned (and also had unintended text wrap and paragraph style).
  In the meantime i found the solution. All those options were set without any assigned frame, “on dry”, and so became default options for every further frame. Reverse process solved the problem …
