  InDesign Floating palette

  I’m using InDesign CS4 on my Mac G5, OS X 10.5.7, and except for InDesign occasionally refusing to “quit”, it’s otherwise worked fine. However, when I opened a document yesterday, the Floating “Character” palette opened BLANK! Still reads “Character” at the top, but nothing at all in the gray window when opened – no choices, nothing at all. All other Floating palettes are fine, as is all the Character info in the horizontal Control palette. Same problem with ANY InDesign document now, tried quitting 7 restarting, no change. ANY help would be appreciated!
