  • Overset warning when I press Enter

I am using Adobe InDesign CS4 on a Vista 64-bit system. I’m having a bit of trouble. In a new document or a template, no matter how much text I have, when I press Enter, my text disappears, and I get overset warnings. In Story Editor, again as soon as I press Enter, everything after the cursor goes overset.

This happens regardless of font or template. This even happens if I have an 8-inch high textbox and have two words like “Hello, world.” and I press Enter after the period.

It’s driving me nuts. Can anyone help?

I had a similar problem, I discovered it works if you press Fn+Enter at the same time.
    Hope this helps!

It did help, actually. Thanks so much!

I am confused as to what causes that. I wonder if it’s in InDesign or some sort of odd install problem on my system.
