  • Text Wrap Issue in CS3

Have a strange issue happening that we haven’t seen in the past. We just updated to CS3 two months ago and are currently in the midst of a project redesign. We have created templates that have flowing body copy across most of the page. Instead of using the drop cap feature we are placing a separate text box with a large letter near the paragraph start (the large letters are tweaked and distorted, hence not using the drop cap function). We are then placing a blank box with a text wrap to be able to adjust the text wrap without adjusting the letter.

Here is the problem. When we drag down the template page and go to adjust the text wrap box, the original position of the box is maintained. So say we reduce the text wrap box from 1 inch to a half an inch, the text still treats it as if the box is open to a half an inch. Changing the text wrap in the text wrap palette does not do anything. In fact we have deleted the text wrap box and the text wrap remained in the text. I even tried deleting the text box and redrawing it to see if it was the offending part, but the wrap still appeared in the newly drawn box. It is as if the wrap is emedded in the page, regardless of having a object on the page. We have done this several times throughout the templates, and it only happens on some pages, not all. Happens on both the templates and the pages that are dropped down.

    Anyone seen this before?
