  Picture breaking out of frame

  What method do you think they use in Photoshop/Indesign to get parts of pictures such as arms/heads ie on sports pages in newspapers breaking out of the frame please? I have an example but don’t know how to upload picture to this forum….

  It will always involve being able to use a selection method to isolate whatever element needs to “pop”. Either a clipping path, or channels, etc. PS has many methods of isolating a subject.
