  popup freezes InDesign

  Occasionally, I get the following popup message in InDesign CS3:
  
  and I cannot stop it, escape out, nor use InDesign. I have to force-quit and restart the program.

  My context: I work in a Mac workgroup situation with FontReserve, Triple Triangle Mechanical Cubed, Xinet FullPress, and PictureWrangler as parts of my workflow. Any idea where this comes from and how to prevent it or remedy it?

  Try turning off automatic updates.

  Located in applications >> Utilities >> Adobe Utilites >> Adobe Updater.

  Or it may have somehting to do with your registration checking the internet.
