I am trying to export a document which contains “placed pdf documents” to a final PDF file. However, when we try to do this the error “unable to export to pdf” appears

Any ideas on what we are doing wrong or settings we need to change?

We are using CS2 version & Windows XP

    Thanks Lani

Instead of using export to make a pdf, try to do a print and choose Acrobat pdf as your driver (you may need to have Acrobat installed).

    Thanks Mike

I have done this so that i can have the document proofed but i will still need to have the document in a high resolution print quality for it to go to production?

For final reproduction quality you can either supply your print with yourIndesign file (collect your placed images and fonts also) or make a PDF-X.
