  very long load

  Is it just my machine or does the COW just take a l o n g t i m e to load pages in Safari?

  Mine is working fine here… Mac Dual 2Ghz G5.

  Hi Bob,

  Like Scott Paul Dunham, my Safari loads fine. At peak load times when the Cow is really busy, the pages load very quick but the ads can take a bit to fill in. The pages are still very fast but the ads can be slower as they are served off of another server that handles just the ads — it’s a dual Opteron, whereas the pages themselves are coming off a quad Opteron.

  I don’t mind the ads loading slower than the text. It’s where there is a thread with several responses. For me it takes a real long time the green box with the T to load in. On my Pc, the load time is a lot shorter. In fact, I can click where the T will show up and be able to select it before it does. Not on my Mac.
