Layer Mode problem
Hello, I am a new after effects user. For some reason On the timeline I can not get my layer mode to change. I’ve been trying to get a Yellow solid color to change from normal to color burn. The menu pops up with all my options hard light, color dodge, etc…They are not greyed out or anything. I choose my mode think all is ok and the mode will not change. What could be the problem. I’d appreciate any responses. Thank you…..

No problem here. Have you tried quitting and restarting?

In response to your question. I have tried restarting. I’ve even scraped the project and started a new one. I’m working with 6.0. All I’m trying to do is follow a tutorial from the book, “Creating Motion Graphics w/ After Effects” by Trish and Chris Meyer. The book seems very detailed easy to follow along but the only thing I can’t seem to make happen is the layer mode change and the right click “hide this” option. Could there be something wrong with my program or could I be missing one crucial little like preference step or something? Thanks…….
