    Folks,

This could also be a Premiere issue.

I have a pre-composed layer in AE. I through a mask on it, and it looks fine, but when I bring it into Premiere, the layer is without the mask.

    Any thoughts?

What’s your composition’s background color? If it’s set to white because you’re doing something with black shapes, it needs to be set to black for alpha (transparency) to transfer over properly in Premiere.

    That’s my first guess.

I’m not sure what was going on, but I put the pre-comp in a new layer and it worked. Problem solved.
