  • superblack pluge crushed on SD Analog out

I’ve been trying to solve this odd issue.

when I bring up SD BARS in final cut the super black
(left most) part of the pluge is crushed and looks
the same as the middle pluge (lower right of bars)
on component output to my broadcast monitor.

I’ve confirmed it is not the monitor.
I have a multibridge in another room, same driver, no problem on it.

This Decklink card is the one having the issue.

SD BARS on SDI out is fine. (does not crush)
HD BARS on analog component out is fine. (does not crush)

I’ve tried enabling/disabling the 0 and 7.5 IRE which only
makes it darker when trying zero.

I’ve tried manually adjusting the analog output and it does
not solve this. When I go to maximum the crushed pluge suddenly pops
on screen as white and of course the rest of the bars image is much
    brighter.

I am working with BMD to solve this and have already tried a replacement
decklink card and cable. -issue still persists

Maybe one of you has seen this and know whats up.

upon further testing, if I put the SD Bars in a timeline, then add a 3-way color corrector
and add a value of 7 to the black levels, the bars then show the super black pluge.

This doesn’t solve the problem, but proves the card is somehow crushing
the super black. I do have 7.5 IRE level set in the control panel.

    Any suggestions?
