ATEM TVS- Recording & Streaming simultaneously on iMac
I am using an ATEM TVS on an iMac i5 Quad core and want to know if I can also record the H.264 output on the same computer? I have heard of people running into problems trying to both stream and record on the same cpu, so I was thinking of streaming off one iMac, and recording with the iMac that controls the switcher. Many have recommended using one CPU exclusively for switching, but I was wondering if anyone has tried it, or run into any stability issues. I really want the system to perform rock-solid, and don’t mind if I have to buy another intensity extreme, but I would love to utilize the H.264 out if I can. By the way, I will be using WIrecast 4 and an Intensity Extreme for streaming. I would love to use it to simultaneously record and stream, but Im not sure the iMac i5 can handle both, and I dont want it to cause dropouts. Any suggestions?
