Intensity Pro
Just tried to install an Intensity Pro in a Mac Pro 2.93GHz system.
It has the following:
Quadro 4000 – Slot 1
RED Rocket – Slot 2
ATTO ExpressSAS – Slot 3I put the Intensity in Slot 4 and nothing seems to accept it.
Checked the BM control panel and System Profiler.
I guess thats just too much for the Mac Pro?
The RED Rocket is temp in my FCPX box due to workload so I guess I can take that out and use in the future.
Any one else experience this? -

I haven’t had that exact configuration, but I’ve put plenty of cards into Mac pros. It’s never been a problem with the many decklinks I’ve installed. Check that the card is seated correctly. The top slot can be hard to wedge the card in to. And if you can check the card on another machine to make sure it isn’t fried from static,

Yea I did all that actually.
The card is fine and works in another Mac Pro.
its not a perm set-up so Im not going to fret.
I have bigger issues with FCPX using the card.
I have a support ticket going on this.
Tried it in 5 different machines and cant get the Intensity Pro to work with FCPX.
Purchased it for that reason only. -
Just got word from BM Tech that this card is not working with Snow Leopard.
They are still working on answers for me.
It does seem to work on Lion, however its too iffy for us at work to change to Lion.
Can anyone else clarify that they got this working on SL?
I referring to Intensity Pro and FCPX.P.s. this has nothing to do with my above problems with a loaded system.

Av output requires snow leopard. I don’t think lion has the core video hooks to support av output.

Still waiting for an answer.
I will venture into Lion as soon as I get to work.
I have a spare Mac Pro that needs to be gutted anyway 🙂 -
Meant that the other way. AV requires lion snow leopard doesn’t support it.

I tried the steps found in that link.
They do work for 10.6.8, however FCPX cant seem to recognize the card.
I checked all the other apps and they have no problems utilizing it.
Sure you get the AV in the drop down menu but in the playback prefs, you get the “none found” as option.
Even in that video link posted you can see they had the same result.
I got around to installing Lion but I seem to be crashing constantly with the Intensity Pro card on a 2010 Mac Pro 2.66 but flawless on a 2009 Quad.
