  Deck control software and video capture. what software works.

  I thought that the deck control software allowed capture to the hard drive. I am trying to get a direct video feed from a “y” ntsc input (cable #7) I have the image on the preview window, when I press record it places a 4k file in my documents listed as a .mov. Do I need a full editing suite such as FCP or Vegas? I have used this card with both editors but I am wanting a simple small footprint program to just capture video with the card. I am ok with Windows ,Mac, or Linux solutions.
