  Recommendation needed: MacPro <–> Pro Audio

  Hello All—

  Our editing suite at work is finally undergoing some hardware/software upgrades. I am looking for a recommendation on a simple interface between some pro audio components (KRK Studio monitors & Subwoofer) and our MacPro.

  I am not looking to add a mixer or any type of desktop interface to our setup. However, I have looked into the Decklink Studio card, as it is capable of using the breakout cable that has 1/4″ jacks on it that will plug and play with the KRK monitors. However, I have no need for most of the other capabilities of the Decklink card. I am not capturing from any decks or outputting SDI to a monitor. Most of the work I do is in After Effects or Final Cut, neither of which are output for broadcast.

  So, to simplify, I am just looking for some way to connect a pair of studio monitors with 1/4″ or XLR inputs to our MacPro.

  Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
