December 11, 2010 at 9:00 pmI have the Shuttle and it uses the same software Media Express. I haven’t seen that option. Also The intensity pro and Shuttle capture MJPEG and 8 and 10 uncomp. AVI. Tape is DV or HDV. I believe you would have to convert to the format your deck is made for. Why do you want it on tape anyways? DVD storage and hard drives are so cheap now. You can find 2 terabyte drives for about 100 bucks.

December 12, 2010 at 5:27 pmHello Mark,
the Intensity Pro features a YUV output, the right source for the UVW-1800, but it lacks of the onboard serial port (9 Pin RS-422) needed to remote the Betacam SP VTR. I don’t know if any software allows you to use the serial port of your PC in conjunction with the Intensity Pro.
In my opinion the best device for the Betacam SP I/O is currently the Decklink Studio (2), that features YUV output, Balanced Audio, and an on board RS-422 port.Best Regards,
