  Composite video capture flickering

  Have tried searching for this but everything else refers to a deck, I am using VCR.

  I am trying to capture VHS composite footage through my Decklink HD Extreme card (via Y in composite). The video keeps flickering to black on and off. The audio is registering but levels are very low. When VCR is connected directly to a monitor with same cables, it plays straight through no problem, so I don’ think it is a cabling issue. Decklink input prefs are set to Composite video (Y in) & AES/EBU audio in. Firmware version (7.7.73).

  Any suggestions?
