  • Still have the same problem even after upgrading to HD Extreme 3D

    Hello

I post a problem in Jun 3 about cutting in the sound in premiere CS5 put I did not find any response from support guys
    https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/124/873967

I thought the problem was caused by my old Decklink Extreme PCI, so I decided to build a new system with Decklink HD Extreme 3D, The surprise was I had paid 1000$ for the same problem but with new card

I will explain this problem again and I hope to find help

after I upgrade to CS5 I get a problem cut in the sound for two seconds then go back again while playback timeline, I test several wave sound files 48 KHz 16 bit stereo and get the same problem which was working will with CS4, there is no level in Premiere Audio Meter Panel when cutting in the sound happen, I monitor my sound throw XLR card output to speaker

this problem not from the system or from the card but I think it’s from the driver because I got this problem in two different systems

I work in an animated series for children, all the Video clips is video only without audio 720*576 avi uncompressed 8 bit yuv blackmagic codec exported from premiere, all audio files is 48 KHz 16 bit stereo

system: Windows 7 64 Bit, ADOBE PRODUCTION PREMIUM
Cards: Decklink Extreme PCI & Decklink HD Extreme 3D
    Driver: V7.6.4
    Project: SDI 8 Bit 720X576

What about generating tone from within premiere pro? Does the tone cut out?

    Hello Kristian

I test tone generated from premiere and there is no cut out in sound, but must note that is tone has a constant audio level not like a recorded voice which contains a variable volume level

below In the attached photo you will find in the top picture of the original project, and at the bottom picture of the test project with tone

this issue only happened when I upgrade to CS5 and driver V7.6.4 In 3 different computers with 3 decklink Extreme PCI Cards and 1 Decklink HD Extreme 3D in multiply project with different audio files

    hope I get a solution

    regards

    Hello,

Can you tell me how the file was generated? Was it given to you? Did you capture it with our Media Express v2? Premiere? Exported from another application?

To me it sounds like it may be the method in which that particular video was encoded. Try this, do a New Project with a Blackmagic setting of PAL 8bit. Capture a clip. Then immediately drop that clip into the timeline and play it back. Does the same issue happen there? The reason I ask is because you said the files have been exported prior to being placed on the timeline in your previous post. Also if you were to use Media Express v2, capture a file and play that file back, does the same dropouts occur? And does it also do the drop out from your existing file? If it’s a Blackmagic uncompressed AVI, Media Express v2 shouldn’t have any problems playing out the file.

And also can you tell me a little more about your machine spec, audio card, motherboard, RAID, etc?

    Hello

Can you tell me how the file was generated?

the clips is generated from 3DS Max, After Effect and Animo as series TGA 720*676 24 bit, I import each series to

premiere and export every clip as AVI Blackmagic uncompressed 8 bit, I am not capture any clip, the sound file is

WAV file 48 KHz 16 bit stereo contains a dialogue, that is all clips I used, this clips I used it before with CS4 and Was

working well, and the old project created with CS4 has the same issue with CS5 but with CS4 it’s working without

    any problem “with old driver”

with premiere preset using Motherboard sound card there is no issue

can you tell me a little more about your machine spec

    have 3 computer
2* Boxx Workstation 8300 with Blackmagic Extreme PCI in PCI-X slot + MediaVault 4210 Raid
1 * Asus P45 P5Q Deluxe with Blackmagic HD Extreme 3D “Temporary Computer until get new Boxx workstation

    8500”

Clean install Windows 7 64Bit + Adobe Creative Suite Premium CS5 not demo version

PS: I was a beta tester to Blackmagic driver and I can confirm that issue related to 7.6.4 driver not to other software or hardware
