  • the h.264 Pro Recorder important question

    Hi –
I missed this at NAB, but it’s VERY important – JVC released in September the SR-HD1500 Blu Ray recorder, which is now designed to work with the EXPENSIVE Edirol VC-50HD, to allow quick blu ray recordings from HD-SDI sources. The SR-HD1500 has USB and iLink inputs. SO, with the h264 Pro Recorder, which takes an HD-SDI input allow it to pass a USB signal into the SR-HD1500 ?

Was there ever any response to this issue?

I purchased the JVC SR-HD1500US in hopes of using it to archive live, in-house broadcasts of the games I produce. I have a Panasonic P2 deck with a firewire output that I connected to the JVC recorder, but the recorder won’t recognize the signal.

Is the Edirol/Roland unit the only one that will convert my HD/SDI signal to Firewire for this recorder, or is there a less expensive alternative?
