I’ve just installed my BM Intensity Pro 7.5.2 on a Ubuntu system and updated firmware, kernel headers, drivers etc etc. I run the DeviceList sample in the SDK with Eclipse IDE and everythings working fine.

The problem is that after turning my machine off and back on again, the Blackmagic drivers are still found but the hardware can’t be detected. Running the sample again leads to an error message of “No Blackmagic Design devices were found” which is what I’d expect if the hardware couldn’t be detected.

Has anybody had any similar problems where the hardware seems to disappear on a Linux machine?

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

It`s probably which slot the Intensity Pro card is in or a setting in the bios. Ubuntu is not as prone to not finding units as Windows because Windows needs more or fewer copies of drivers and hubs inside its list. Borrow a second hard drive and get experimenting. How does “Ubuntu Studio Alternate (not an alternate) 9.10” do?
