Posted by Daniel Hoover on January 5, 2010 at 11:21 pm

    Hi,

Is there a way to adjust the audio output levels of the Intensity card? It is about 75% quieter than my other audio sources, so when I switch between my inputs I am constantly adjusting the volume. Is there a way to just increase the Intensity’s output volume?

FYI – I have Windows 7 64 bit and am using Premiere CS4

    Thank you!

why yes there is – it’s called a MIXER, which will amplifiy the -10dBu output of the Intensity card to match your other professional +4dBu sources. And if you don’t want a mixer, you can buy a matching amplifier, that will convert -10dB to +4dB.

I was asking more about a Blackmagic software setting, or possibly something in Windows itself. If no one knows of such a thing, then a mixer might be the way to go. Thanks for the response and the help (although I could have done without the sarcasm/patronization implied in the beginning of your post).

    Hi.

If output is -10 then only software will not help you usually.
You can not adjust car engine to give out more power if it is not there for.
Ok you could tune it but still toyota is not ferrari so to say.

I just didn’t know Blackmagic’s output was -10. Makes sense, thanks.
