Flash fields from OB to FCP via Deckline HD Extreme 2
I have encountered this problem several times this year in studio shoot and at outside broadcast.
We are using FCP 6.0.6 and version 7.0.3 decklink drivers.
Live feed from video mixer goes direct to FCP via decklink HD extreme 2. Regardless of capture codec or settings, there is an intermittent field problem on cuts. Like a half-frame mix from outgoing to incoming shot.
The live feed was also recorded direct to digibeta as backup. We digitised this using decklink card, and there were identical problems.
Contacted the studio and they ran exhaustive tests. Everything okay. They tested direct ingest to FCP using Multibridge. No Problems!
Someone else is having this problem too on the FCP forum. He’s digitised his material on Avid. No problems!
Is this a known issue?

i guess this has nothing to do with settings of your card.
in broadcast mixer’s you can set where the switcher has to cut after field 1, after field 2 or after the nearest field. the last setting can give the problems you sketched. this can give the problem that in some cut’s a frame can have content in field 1 of camera1 and in field 2 of camera 2. if you use 1 of the first 2 setting the problom will be there on every cut or will be solved.
