    Hi,

I´m finishing to setup my new system.
I receive my Decklink HD Extreme 3 and have it installed on a Asus i7 computer with 8GB Ram (4×2).

But I need to decide what system to install, Vista 32-bit or 64-bit.
I read on BlackMagic site about “Should I use 32 or 64-bit versions of Windows?” and they currently recommend the use of 32-bit versions of Windows.

This is truth or exists a new indication?

And about use more than 3GB of RAM for use with 32-bit versions?

    thanks.

    Hello,

For the computer you have 64bit Vista is the way to go.

    Thanks,

    Leo

    Hi,

I have BM Decklink HD Extreme 3 on Vista 64.
It was meant for monitoring purposes with Video Desktop Feature. Unfortunatly it does not work.
According to BM, Vista 64 does not support it.

    Can you confirm this?
    Maybe Windows 7 does?

    Cheers,
    Gerrit

    Hi Gerrit,

I can confirm this. There is no desktop feature in Windows Vista and will not be in Windows 7.

    regards
