  Intensity Pro or AVCHD conversion using Toast (or similar)

  I have recently purchased a Canon HF-S10 and am very happy with it but am just trying to get my head around the best way to get the footage into FCP 5.1.4…..

  I have Toast 9 and i can convert to DVCPRO HD or AIC and edit ok. My Question is will the Intensity Pro do anything that i cant do already by just converting the footage??? I realise it will proabably save time in terms of not haveing to convert the footage in Toast but what other benefits will i get???

  Will it allow me to run the analog outs on the card to an external monitor?

  Any other benefits??

  Can i capture in full 1080p from the intensity card? It looks like from the specs that it is only 1080i???
