  Hooking up mixer to Decklink Studio

  Hi guys! We have the Decklink Studio card and want to hook up a mixer to it so we can ride the levels when the director is in the room. We would like to be able to monitor at least 6 channels of audio out. That way we can separate Dia and SFX and Music. Is there a way to do this? The Decklink Studio card has only 4 analog out or 6 AES/EBU out. We would like to use a MAckie 1402-VLZ mixer we already have. Is this possible somehow? Would another type of mixer work?

  because you own an anlaog mixer, the cheapest way to do this is with either AES/EBU to analog audio converters (Behringer makes a wonderful one for $99, but it will only do 2 channels at a time – but this will give you outputs 5 + 6 that you need) – or you can get the HDLinkPro from Blackmagic, which will de embed the SDI audio channels into six analog outputs, OR you can get the Blackmagic audio de embedder ($495) which will de embed 1-4 or 5-8 for you(you already have 1-4 analog outputs).

  All of these solutions are cheaper than buying an AES/EBU mixer.
