  any recommendations for a downconverter for Eclipse?

  Is there a box I can get that will give me the same downconvert functionality of the Multibridge Extreme which doesn’t exist on my Multibridge Eclipse?

  That is a downconverted output from the Eclipse while we are still monitoring HD from the HDMI on our 1920×1080 Plasma.

  Our SD monitor can take SDI as well as component and we really need to see both HD and SD simultaneously. Or is the Multibridge Extreme still available as a product?

  I don’t see any HD-SDI ‘IN’ downconverted SDI ‘OUT’ products available on the Blackmagic site. Aja or Miranda maybe?

  I am confused by your question, but I will answer first –

  this AJA converter –

  will down convert HD-SDI to both SDI and analog component

  but your Eclipse does this. It downconverts. What can’t you do ?

  Thanks for the response Bob but I think you are suggesting that the Eclipse will do either/or; yes I know the Eclipse can software down convert but it can’t give both SD/HD at the same time like our multibridge Extreme can. If you know how to do that can you share your knowledge?
  What we need is an HD output from the Eclipse monitoring via the HDMI on our 1920×1080 Plasma and an SD output (SDI or component) to feed our grade 1 SD monitor at the same time. We really need to see both HD and SD simultaneously. That is how we use our Multibridge Extreme.
