  DeckLink Captures Dark

  I am using Blackmagic DeckLink to capture Beta footage in FCP 5.0.4. The footage looks good when played from the deck to a monitor but once I go to capture in FCP the footage is dark. I am capturing the footage as Blackmagic NTSC 10 bit. Also in the clip setting of the log and capture I have no control of the sliders, that area is grey. Is there something I have to do to the DeckLink and if so what is it? Is there something in FCP I have to do? Any help or suggestions would be great.

  Hi Chris,

  Video level capture controls are located in the DeckLink preference pane in your OS X System Preferences. The sliders in Final Cut Pro will not be able to talk to the hardware of the card in this instance.
