Multibridge Pro SD to HD upconvert ?
Hi –
I did a search for this, but have not seen recent posts on this. Is everyone happy with the SD to HD upconvert ability of the Multibridge Pro ?Bob Zelin

well Margus, go get a standard def video source, AND TEST UP CONVERSION, and let me know how it goes.

dont know if this is the same technology or not,
but i just did a test with my Intensity pro card,
and the Up-res was pretty soft.i get better results in the FCP timeline (set to best quality motion scaling)
the Intensity up-res was softer, with a slight colour cast.

Is this only available on mac pro? (intel)
I had heard about this on the multibridge
but on my G5 its not an option.What I’d really like to know is why
the multibridge won’t hardware downconvert 720
HD to SD. It only does it in software and looks
aliased and completely unuseable. yet 1080i hardware
downconverts and looks fantastic.Tech support never answers my question when I ask it
so I’ll ask again.Why can’t the multibridge extreme downconvert 720 in hardware?

Hi again.
I just have Dell lcd to use as HD monitor but at the moment i have not had time to get hdmi dvi converter as my multibridge gives out hdmi. So i’ll keep you posted. Meyby next week some hdmi monitor will arrive.
I agree with that 720p down thing, it is a bit squery. 1080 is superb.
