    Hello,

    I captured uncompressed HDTV-material in the format 1080psf/25 with a Sony HDW-750p. In did this with Premiere Pro and a New Deck-Link Project called HD1080 –> 8Bit YUV –> PsF –> 25p.
When I look at the output of the captured video on a LCD, which is capable of showing this format, the motion doesn’t seem right – it’s blurred, like the two fields were merged.
Now I’m wondering, what’s wrong. Should I have captured the signal in 1080i/50? But when it’s the problem, why should there be a project called 1080psf?

I hope you guys can help me.

    Greetings,

    Thomas.

I havent had really any issuse with BlackMagics 50i and 25psf’s its all the same attitude. Are you sure the capture is bad, check your viewing prefs? I guess theoretically 50i and 25psf are the same but 50i can have different video on f1 than f2 whereas 25psf cant(or shouldnt). Try and capture to 50i and see if the motion is better. Sounds like the video might be interlaced but you are forcing a psf capture..
