  • HUGE MULTIBRIDGE PRO 2 PROBLEM WITH DELL PRECISION T5400

    Hi,

I have huge problem with Dell precision T5400
workstations and Multibridge Pro 2 units.

When I connect the Blackmagic Multibridge Pro 2 units to
any PCI express slot of the Dell workstations the unit
can not be installed sucessfully with yellow sign
and code 10 on the Win XP SP2.
Please know that these Multibridge units work great in
Supermicro old X6DA8 workstation or Dell precision
490, 690 and they have been upgraded vis USB
with the latestg firmware from your latest installer.

    Could you please help me?

I have allready spoke with Mr. Scot from USA
Blackmagic support and he said that it is the Dell
issue and that BlackMagic officialy does not
support Dell precision workstations and that
the list of the supported workstation is
on the Blackmagic web site. When I have looked
at the list of the supported workstations any of
them is not available anymore for months and the newer
available workstations from HP or Dell are not listed.

Multibridge PRO works in present great with the older
    Dell Precision 490 BIOS A07, 690 BIOS A07
and why it would not work in the future with
the allready released Dell precision T5400?
And how can have the Dell Precision T5400
    ISV certification from Adobe Systems
if it still does not work with the Multibridge Pro
which is the hardware also certified by
    Adobe Systems?

I have tried to install six different PCI Express
cards in Dell precision T5400 and all works fine
( Areca PCI Express RAID cards, St LAB Firewire
800\400 combo USB cards, Nvidia GF 8800 Ultra,
GTX and GT and etc… )
exept BlackMagic Multibridge Pro which can not
be sucessfuly installed with yellow sign code 10.

Could you please release the new drivers
which shall be compatibile with the newer Intel 5400
workstations chipsets, or that you can contact
Dell to release the new BIOS which shall address
    the issues.

I look forward to hearing from you soon and thank you
    in advance.

    Yours faithfuly,

    Gorazd.
