    Hi all
I’m attempting to develop a workflow with my new Intensity Pro card and my first steps have left me puzzled. When I hook up HDMI and Firewire (this is using a Canon HV20) then go to capture using the BM project settings, I have camera control and time code is recorded, but no picture (black). I can go to the BM Media Express tool and capture just fine, but of course with no tape TC.
I’ve read through the manual several times (that took all of three minutes) and I believe I’m doing everything correctly.
Has anyone actually captured video using HDMI for video/sound and Firewire for device control within Premiere Pro 3?
If so could you please layout your workflow?
    Thanks.

Heads up: Capturing this way works just fine… if.
If you can’t see the video, but you have control. Reboot. Everything needs to be hooked up and on when you boot so everything is detected properly. Then it’s hog heaven.
Also: we discovered that not using the BlackMagic sound setting caused our audio to be out of sync. Switching from our audio hardware to the BM setup fixed the problem all around.

BTW I may be blending the references to AE and PP3 settings.

    Hi,

When you run audio out of the PC’s sound card, it runs on a different hardware clock than the Intensity card which explains why the audio is not in sync. We recommend monitoring video and audio off the same hardware device for accurate sync.
