  single Zeon quad core or Core2 Quad processor

  Hello

  After I use the amazing Deklnk Extrem for two years “thanks for Blackmagic”, I decide to upgrade to Multibridge Pro for HDTV editing 1080 and I want your experience in this area to build low cost system

  I think that this system specifications adequate

  1- Intel D975XBX2 , Intel Core2 Quad processor 2.66MHz , 3G Ram , Quadro FX1500
  2- 6 SATA II HD with 3Ware or Highpoint controller

  and I have a question … Is single Zeon quad core would be more effective in the HDTV editing on CS3 more than Intel Core2 Quad processor

  This is an old article by now, but it shows that with After Effects, in two cases the fastest results are had by a Core 2 extreme processor, in other words, 2 cores beat 8 cores.

  At the end of 2008, Intel will have another processor that is more like the AMD series, which might make better use of the extra processors. Or not.

  first I want to thank you for this attention to my question

  I noticed that in many articales that Core 2 extreme is faster than Core 2 Quad
  but still asking the same question

  did single Zeon quad core would be more effective in the HDTV editing with Adobe CS3 more than Intel Core2 Quad processor ??

  PS: ther is a workstaion board for Intel Core2 Quad processor from SuperMicro like C2SBX+ and another board from ASUS like P5E64 WS Evolution
