DVI out dead on MBE
Hi
I have MBE and it works FCPs 2.0 in 10.4.10 with 6.2 later installs will kill the DVI out – I get extended desktop on the DVI but no output when monitoring FCP timeline
on my Intel Box I have not yet found working version?
is my MBE dead or is this common problem?

Hi Kaspar,
If the DVI output is working in the Finder and not in Final Cut Pro, then it’s most likely a configuration issue.
What about the other outputs? How are they behaving?

Also, what happens when you play something out from Blackmagic Deck Control? Is the DVI output working from that application?

the same problem from BMD deck control
all other outputs work just fine (well have not tested SDI)
it seems that desktop out is different path than video output because in desktop out the downcorverter dosent work.-Kaspar

I dunno if this is any help but I had similar problem with the MBX on a windows system – it was OK prior to a firmware upgrade and then it went funky. Since the latest firmware update it all been good. So either there was a rouge firmware version OR the last update you did went a little wrong but I don’t know how you can force a firmware upgrade so maybe Kristian can help you there.
