  Blackmagic codecs in FCP2

  I am working on a job (FCP) where the client captured using Blackmagic 10 bit. I do not have a blackmagic hardware but was able to install the codecs, apparently no problems.

  When I drop his files into FCP they are interpreted as simply uncompressed 10 bit. If I set the sequence to blackmagic anything (8 or 10) they require rendering, 10 bit and they will not even display until rendered (green), 8 bit and they display but require rendering (red).

  Is this because I dont have the hardware or is it possible he captured using uncompressed instead of blackmagic?
