  HDLink playback horizontal line

  Hi,

  I got my playback issue resolved, thanks to Kristian Lam.

  I am now noticing a single horizontal line on my display when I am playing back footage. It tends to creep up the screen slowly. Reminds me of old refresh rate issues on CRT monitors. At first I thought this might be a display resolution issue. My Apple Cinema HD Display was set to 1920×1080 (30Hz). I changed it to 1280×720 (60Hz) but am still experiencing this horizontal line.

  Any suggestions on how to fix this? Could it be a bad cable? It’s practically brand new and is a Belden 75 ohm coaxial.

  Hi,

  Hmm…I’ve seen this happen to another customer before. Let me find out more and get back to you about this. Could be possibly some weird bug we’re not aware of.

  What version is your HDLink driver? If you’re not on the latest, try that and see if it makes a difference.

  Hi Kristian,

  Thanks for taking the time to look into this matter. I’m using the latest version of the HDLink driver (2.4).

  I don’t know if it’s related but I am also experiencing a little bit of snow (static) on my video desktop when I am not working in FCP.
