  No Video Input on DVCPRO 50 SDI capture

  Hi,
  Pardon my English, I am from Bulgaria.
  My machine is Power Mac G5 Quad, 2GB RAM, DeckLink Extreme (driver 5.6) and Final Cut Pro 5.1.1
  When i’m trying to capture DVCPRO50 via SDI input (my deck is AJ-SD93) the only thing that see is NO VIDEO INPUT. I tryed with 8 and 10 bit easy setup. When try to capture DVCPRO material – everithing is OK. Also Component capture is OK.

  Will be very happy if someone can help me 🙂

  Hi,

  It sounds as though your DeckLink Extreme card is configured to capture video from the component analog inputs and this is why you cannot capture from the SDI input of the card. We need to tell the card to use SDI for input.

  Please open the System Preferences and then click on DeckLink. Switch the Video Connections for Input and set it to SDI.

  Now try capturing in Final Cut Pro. Does this solve the problem?

  I would also recommend that you update to Final Cut Pro 5.1.4 and DeckLink 6.1 drivers.

  As i write in my post i can capture DVCPRO materials via SDI but i can’t capture DVCPRO50 (even with 8 or 10 bit setup).

  Today i tryed to capture DIGITAL BETA via SDI (deck is J-30SDI and setup is 10bit) and it was successful.

  OK i’ll try to upgrade drivers and FCP

  What do you mean with “deck is J-30SDI and setup is 10bit”? Which set up is this? Any specific configuration on the betacam player?

  By the way… I`m trying to capture SDI the same way and nothing happens… No video! 16(Deck control) connected to remote in J-30SDI and 15 (SDI IN) to SDI in J-30 SDI…
